The LG-Ericsson Ethernet Access solution for NWT ENTERPRISES is based on Wavelength Division Multiplexing - Passive Optical Networking (WDM-PON), a next-generation technology for improving the quality of the user experience by significantly increasing access speeds from today’s offering. With its LG-Ericsson solution, NWT ENTERPRISES plans to deliver advanced Ethernet services for triple or multi-play residential customers, services for broadcast media and also provide advanced data center services at its headquarters in Cumberland, Maryland and elsewhere. These services will help customers meet rapidly expanding needs for data storage, business continuity, and exploding demands for gaming and IPTV. The Company plans to roll out these services to residential and business customers starting in 4th Quarter 2010.

The LG-Ericsson Ethernet Access 1100 solution uses a single fiber connection to the home or office to provide users with access to applications and symmetrical services at speeds of 100 Mbps to 1 Gbps. The solution allows high-performance triple play applications over a single connection to the home, and also creates new revenue opportunities based on future high-bandwidth applications.

"LG-Ericsson is excited to partner with NWT ENTERPRISES by providing a next generation access technology that provides the delivery of high-speed, ultra broadband, standards-based Ethernet services to customer premises. This deployment of LG-Ericsson’s leading WDM-PON platform in the United Sates, is another proof point of the value this technology brings. Increasingly the market is demanding Ultra High Speed symmetrical connections and the LG-Ericsson platform is the right fit for broadband service providers, which are looking to build a future proof network." said Wim te Niet, Vice President Global Sales & Marketing Fiber Access at LG-Ericsson.

Telamon Corporation, a strategic partner in this exciting next generation access deployment, is the North America distributor of LG-Ericsson’s WDM-PON platform. "LG-Ericsson’s WDM-PON platform is truly the next-generation ultra-high speed Ethernet broadband access platform that is available today and being deployed worldwide" said Rob Sterrenberg, VP/GM Optical Networks for Telamon Corporation.

About NWT ENTERPRISES

NWT ENTERPRISES has three primary missions: The first is to deliver high data rate services to regions throughout the country that have historically been underserved and considered lower priority by established telecommunications carriers. The second is to provide data center services and connectivity for business and Governmental agencies faced with continuity-of-operation requirements and new digital information regulations. The third is to meet the needs of large private and public entities as well as other telecommunications firms that have transmission capacity requirements that far exceed available circuits.

NWT ENTERPRISES currently has a number of corporate customers ordering very high bandwidth services from 10 to 100 Gbps (a full one hundred gigabits per second). As demands rise even higher, NWT ENTERPRISES is prepared to provide services at ever higher data rates over dedicated lines and/or connections directly to the Internet.

NWT ENTERPRISES’ ability to enter the market with such advanced service offerings is based on its ability to adapt the latest state of the art equipment versus the burden of having to use, and amortize, much older equipment - the "curse" of long established service
