1. Preliminary round

  • Team composition: Maximum 3 people in a team
  • Submit an idea proposal that fits the topic within 3 PowerPoint pages
    - Written language: English - Foreign judges, including the CEO, must be included among the judges so must be written in English
    - Except for covers and slip sheets
  • Application for Participation: On Off Mix
  • Submission deadline: October 13 (Thu) by 11:00 am

2. Prior training

  • Target: 10 teams making it to the finals
  • Date: November 4 (Fri)
  • Venue: Ericsson-LG Seoul R&D Campus (Gasan, Seoul)
  • Contents:
     - Hackathon task guide
     - Delivery of demo kit (Raspberry Pi, sensor module)
     - Basic training for using the demo kit
     - Mentoring with Ericsson-LG Developer


3. Finals

  • After pre-training, use the provided demo kit to submit hackathon tasks and presentation materials
  • Submit an assignment:
    - Advanced idea proposal and demo demonstration diagram (within 3 PowerPoint chapters)
    - 5 minutes or less video (explaining ideas, demonstrating demos)
    - Presentation language: English - Foreign judges, including the CEO, must be included among the judges and make sure to present in English.
  • 5 finalist teams selected based on submitted materials
  • Submission deadline: November 9 (Wed) by 11:00 am


4. Grand finale

  • Target: 5 finalists
  • Date: November 23 (Wed) 
  • Location: Seoul R&D Campus, South Korea
  • Content: 10 minutes per team
    - Watching the 5 minute demo video submitted
    - 2-minute additional explanation
    - 3-minute Q&A (simultaneous interpretation available)
  • Prize money of 2 million won each, internships during vacation, plaques and certificates given to the top 3 teams
