On October 25th at Sevit Convention, Ericsson-LG held Networked Society Day 2016 with the theme of “Leading Transformation Through Mobility.” Every year, Ericsson-LG has invited major domestic customers, partners and various players in ICT ecosystem to this event for realization of Networked Society where 50 billion thigns are connected with sustainability. The participants to this year’s event also had an opportunity to learn about the latest technologies and solutions as well as various global success stories triggered by ICT.

Among total 8 sessions, the first one was presented by Patrick Johansson, Ericsson-LG CEO, with the topic of “Leading transformation through mobility.” He elaborated on the future of connectivity which technological developments will bring and the changes in the life and industries. In addition, the various opportunities that industries connected through mobility will bring and the cases that Ericsson is currently implementing with an effort were also shared.

In this event, the major issues of the ICT industry such as 5G, IoT, and Cloud were widely covered. The session topics like global standardization plan of 5G that the pilot service is expected from 2018, the readiness of the ecosystem participants, the need of global infrastructure for authentic IoT services, the security container which will be the basis of a digital industrial revolution, and the latest technologies and solutions related Cloud including advanced NFV, service platforms for large-scale international sports events, diverse use cases enabled by collaborations between industries, etc. drew great interests of the various ecosystem participants.

The networking time for better and efficient communication between each session presenter and the participants was also arranged during the event. The participants showed various interests in the content of the sessions, and it was meaningful communication to prospect for new business opportunities by sharing mutual business interests.
