Ericsson-LG held the 'UnBoxed Korea 2020' event on June 30th. The event, which celebrated its 8th anniversary this year, was held under the theme of '5G, made for innovation'. After one year of the world's first 5G commercialization in Korea, the event was a meaningful to measure the direction of continued development of 5G technology. In addition, the event was to introduce powerful 5G solutions that provide the speed and flexibility necessary to implement the innovative services required in the new normal era created by Corona 19 Pandemic.

The event consisted of 8 presentation sessions and 19 demo booths divided into 5G Access, 5G Core, 5G Private Network, and 5G Business. In particular, among the various exhibitions that Ericsson prepared for the MWC Barcelona event in February, the demo booth, which was selected and operated with a theme related to the Korean market, attracted great attention.

In addition, through a media briefing prepared separately during the event, they announced the direction of moving to a better 5G with the latest findings on the role and importance of ICT in a pandemic situation.

A stronger and more reliable communication network is more important than ever, and 62% of domestic consumers have very positive expectations about the role 5G can play in this crisis,” said Hakan Cervell, CEO of Ericsson-LG. "Ericsson is doing its best to develop better 5G technology that can meet the market expectations" he added.
